ANALYST, HUMAN RESOURCES & PAYROLL

Position Summary

Are you interested in an opportunity to grow professionally within a positive and progressive culture? Northern Health is seeking an experienced Analyst, Human Resources & Payroll to join our Human Resources department.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, HR Planning and Design, the HR/Payroll Analyst is responsible for analyzing HR and Payroll data to identify trends and/or opportunities for improvements in service and efficiencies that can be gained by innovative practices. The position supports operational planning initiatives by conducting ongoing analysis of data from an HR/Payroll perspective using advanced statistical and analytical methods. The Analyst will have a strong working knowledge of Human Resources and Payroll operational procedures which will be used in customizing reports to suit departmental business needs.

The salary range for this position is $69,218 (min) to $86,522 (midpoint) to $99,501 (max) per annum, based on 1.0 FTE. Northern Health typically establishes salaries within the minimum and midpoint of the salary range based on qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management or Social Sciences (Statistical background) or a related and relevant discipline;
• Three (3) years’ experience in data analysis or management and quality and process improvement;
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including the reporting and presentation of information in a clear and concise manner.
• Demonstrated understanding of information management principles.
• Demonstrated understanding of information privacy legislation and information security techniques.
• Demonstrated knowledge of moderate to advanced analytical tools and management of large data sets.
• Strong mathematical and statistical analytical abilities to analyze information and identify trends.
• Ability to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to balance and adapt to changing priorities and workload pressures.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Ability to plan and organize work.
