DISTRIBUTION DRIVER

Position Summary

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Distribution Driver to fill a position at the Fort Nelson General Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position is responsible for the operation, loading, and unloading of a variety of single axle fleet vehicles and transporting a variety of supplies and/or materials using a tow motor and by methods such as loading items by hand or using pallet jack and transporting to specific unit/department or facility. Transports and delivers items such as supplies, lab samples, vaccines according to defined schedules, request log or dispatched instruction. May also operate passenger transportation vehicles with seating capacities of up to 10 passengers including the driver while carrying one or more passengers.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 plus one (1) year’s previous experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid Class 5 vehicle license.

• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
