TECHNICAL MANAGER, NExT

Position Summary

Northern Health is recruiting a Technical Manager, NExT to lead the technical design, delivery, and sustainment readiness of our NExT Scheduling and HCMS platforms.

In accordance with the Vision, Mission, Values, and strategic direction of Northern Health, the Technical Manager, NExT provides end-to-end technical leadership and supervision across NExT Scheduling and NExT HCMS. The role is accountable for technical governance and delivery oversight spanning data conversion and quality, integration design and traceability, technical architecture and environment readiness, technical testing execution leadership, enablement of PM/PC delivery, supervision of custom development, and readiness of the technical team for transition to sustainment.

Starting salary will be approximately from $108,147 to $135,184 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, plus significant recent, related experience leading technical delivery for enterprise-scale SaaS implementations (including integrations and data conversion), or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical governance across multiple concurrent workstreams and coordinating technical resources across internal teams and external vendors.

Skills and Abilities:
• Strong working knowledge of data conversion disciplines: mapping, transformation, reconciliation, cutover planning, and data quality controls.
• Strong working knowledge of integration design and governance, including integration patterns, sequencing, documentation standards, traceability, and testability.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical architecture oversight within SaaS ecosystems, including environment strategy (DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD), configuration management, and release discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical testing readiness and execution, including defect triage, root-cause analysis, and coordination of technical remediation.
• Strong planning and delivery enablement skills: dependency management, RAID mitigation, milestone readiness, and cross-stream resource allocation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and drive decisions.
• Proven ability to work effectively with vendors and delivery partners, ensuring accountability to standards, deliverables, and timelines.
