Position Summary
Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed Assistant to support the Medical Staff Retention & Recruitment department.
The Assistant, Medical Staff Retention & Recruitment is responsible for the overall provision, organization and evaluation of confidential administrative and technical support functions within the Medical Staff Retention & Recruitment team. The incumbent is also responsible for supporting the efficient and effective functioning of physician, nurse practitioner and midwife recruitment activities to support the implementation of medical staff recruitment and retention strategies.
Starting salary will be approximately from $49,445 to $61,806 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
Qualifications
• Grade 12, completion of a diploma or certificate in Business Administration, or a relevant discipline;
• Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience, preferably in recruitment and/or marketing;
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Ability to provide client focused services.
• Strong ability to maintain professional relationships.
• Proficient in the use of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer.
• Adept in the use of social media and other forms of marketing and networking media and technology.
• Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently.
• Ability to anticipate and respond to changing priorities.
• Ability to exhibit tact, discretion and confidentiality when dealing with medical staff.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours.
