Position Summary
Bring your project management, creative problem solving and team leadership expertise to this exciting role with our Planning & Strategic Project Management team.
The Project Coordinator, Minimum Nurse Patient Ratio (mNPR) plays a key role in supporting planning, coordination, and implementation of the Minimum Nurse Patient Ratio initiative. The role works collaboratively with the mNPR Team, local, regional and external partners to provide coordination, activation planning, facilitation, education, and analytical support to ensure operational readiness and compliance with Ministry of Health and Northern Health expectations. The role maintains high-quality documentation and Teams site/SharePoint governance and also supports interest holder engagement, data integrity across multiple tools and trackers, and assists in planning for future phases of mNPR implementation while contributing to risk management and initiative sustainability across the health authority. The role supports mNPR implementation work groups, integrates findings and recommendations, and reports to mNPR leadership, and mNPR leadership reporting to the mNPR Steering Committee, and Senior and Executive Leadership.
Starting salary will be approximately from $63,484 to $79,355 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in Business, Health Administration, or a related health care discipline and a recognized project management certification (e.g., CAPM®, CPC, or equivalent).
• Three (3) years of related project management experience, or equivalent combination.
• Experience managing documentation workflows, version control, or administrative coordination in complex projects is an asset.
Skills and Abilities:
• Broad knowledge of project management and quality improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of health care systems and nursing workforce planning, clinical workflows, policy environments and practice standards relevant to nursing workforce planning.
• Ability to support communication planning, prepare clear briefing materials and summarize technical information for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to Ministry of Health, union, and Executive requests; maintain strong relationships with multiple departments within Northern Health, and union.
• Ability to foster effective working relationships, both internal and external, at all levels across multiple sites and organizations.
• Ability to organize and prioritize a diverse workload.
• Proficient in the use of common computer applications including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email software.
