COORDINATOR, MEDICAL STAFF RETENTION AND RECRUITMENT SUPPORT

Position Summary

Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed Coordinator, Medical Staff Retention and Recruitment Support to support the Medical Affairs department.

In accordance with the vision, mission, and values of Northern Health, with a specific focus on the enabling priority of “Our People”, the Coordinator, Medical Staff Retention and Recruitment is the Medical Affairs lead responsible for programs and activities related to retention, relocation, and recruitment of Medical Staff. In conjunction with the Regional Manager, and in collaboration with other Medical Affairs team members, the Coordinator also implements the medical staff marketing plan, designs processes, researches, monitors, and reports on market trends and analytics, assists in sourcing medical staff candidates, maintains and contributes to the Candidate Relationship Management platform, and assists with other retention and recruitment activities as outlined and required.

Starting salary will be approximately from $63,484 to $79,355 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualifications

• Completion of a diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a relevant discipline;
• Five (5) years of recent and relevant experience, preferably in a health care environment;
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with staff, medical staff, and the general public in an effective and professional manner.
• Ability to manage small to medium sized projects and utilize quality improvement tools and techniques.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to take a proactive view to opportunities to improve systems and processes.
• Demonstrated ability to provide training and act in an advisory capacity, providing subject matter expertise to both senior staff and colleagues.
• Demonstrated ability to exhibit tact, discretion and confidentiality.
• Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing priorities and demands and to multi-task and demonstrate excellent time management skills.
• Excellent ability and comfort working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook and the use of database applications.
• Adept in the use of social media and other forms of marketing and networking media and technology.
