Position Summary
Are you interested in an opportunity to grow professionally within a positive and progressive culture? Northern Health is seeking a champion with significant management and leadership experience to join our Regional Director, Clinical Learning, Nursing department.
In accordance with vision, mission, values and strategic priorities of Northern Heath, the Regional Director, Clinical Learning, Nursing leads clinical learning services within team-based environments, builds a culture of continuous learning for nursing, allied health and across interprofessional clinical domains. The Regional Director Clinical Learning, Nursing works in partnership with the Regional Directors Professional Practice, Nursing and mNPR and Regional Director Professional Practice and Clinical Learning, Allied Health, to create and advance conditions that support quality practice and learning environments in Northern Health.
Starting salary will be approximately from $128,298 to $160,372 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
Qualifications
• A level of education, training and experience equivalent to the completion of a Master’s degree in education, nursing or a health sciences discipline.
• Minimum ten (10) years’ recent, related educational and operational management experience in a complex health care environment, including progressive education, research, project management and leadership experience.
• Current practicing registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a nurse.
Skills and Abilities:
• Thorough familiarity with current trends and issues related to clinical education programs for health care professional and students.
• Knowledge and understanding of clinical practice legislation, statutes and regulations and as related to educational standards and practices.
• Understanding of the functioning of clinical networks
• Ability to identify opportunities that advance a culture of learning and competent clinical practice.
• Knowledge of health care structures and educational systems.
• Ability to lead the development of clinical orientation programs.
• Ability to develop and write proposals, projects and research documents.
• Ability to manage staff and budgets effectively.
• Proficiency in the use of personal computers and related technology.
