REGISTERED NURSE (RN), CLINICAL PRACTICE LEAD, LONG TERM CARE

Position Summary

Are you ready to reach new heights and take your nursing career to the next level? Utilize your leadership, organization and problem solving skills while overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations at Jubilee Lodge.

Reporting to the Manager (or designate), the Clinical Practice Lead contributes to the delivery of quality resident care, professional nursing practice and the enhancement of geriatric services in a Long Term Care setting through nursing practice assessment and development, clinical consultation, quality improvement, care coordination, staff health and other leadership activities. The Clinical Practice Lead will work as part of multidisciplinary team and work collaboratively with others to positively impact nursing care in Long Term Care nursing practice.

Jubilee Lodge, attached to the University Hospital of Northern BC is a 66-bed facility; with one-bed, two-bed and four-bed units. There is a common dining room, solarium sitting area and a large patio. Recreation Therapy is provided on site, which provides activities such as hymn-sing, school visits with the elderly, choral groups.

Qualifications

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
• Five (5) years recent experience in gerontology and demonstrated competencies in leadership or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
