Position Summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Occupational Therapy & Recreation department.

Under the general supervision of the Chief Occupational Therapist in collaboration with 3NE Team Leader, the staff Occupational Therapist performs assessments and interventions related to patients' occupational performance according to established Occupational Therapy practices on 3NE.

New Wage: As of April 1, 2024, the new wage is: $42.56 - $52.95/hour

• Provides undergraduate physician training through the Northern Medical Program, run by the University of British Columbia and University of Northern British Columbia.

• State-of-the-art maternal-child care centre (including a single room neonatal ICU)

• MRI unit
UHNBC is also home to a cancer centre for Northern BC, featuring a wide range of cancer treatments including radiation therapy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a The College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia . approved program in Occupational Therapy.
• Statement of Candidacy, or member of The College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia at the time of hiring. The College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia . membership within 1 year of hiring.
• B.C.S.O.T. registration within 1 year of hiring.
• Registered with The College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
• Applications for re-entry OT: will be considered individually and separately to the above.
• One year recent related experience.

Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrated/referenced effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated/referenced ability to organize, prioritize and work independently as well as on a team.
• Able and willing to work in physical and/or psychiatric services.
• Physically and emotionally able to perform the duties of this position.
